The function of inventory management is seldom appreciated. It seems that only when the inventories fail to generate revenues it receive attention from the responsible personnel of the organizations. Inventory serves the purpose of generating revenues and net income for the organization by ensuring the needs of all customers are properly satisfied.  This seminar will introduce the participants to the mechanics of inventory management and follow through by introducing and demonstrating the application of these necessary resources for ensuring continued growth to the organization.


This two day seminar will cover the fundamentals of:

 

  • Inventories which represents one of the most important assets any organization invests in
  • How if inventory is not managed properly, it will represent a costly liability to the organization
  • Inventory Reduction which is by far the area of greatest potential for productivity improvement to any organization
  • All aspects of the supply chain focusing on processes which will improve the organization’s management of inventories while improving customer service

 

Inventories are critical to the success of any organization, because inventories provide service to the operation of the organization, they provide service to the customer, and they have a major impact on the financial performance of the organization (Return on Net Assets).


This seminar provides credit for the seminars in the Diploma program. It is eligible for 10 Continuous Professional Development/Maintenance Credits for designation holders. It is also open to anyone who wishes to expand their knowledge in the subject area.

Seminar Cancellation/Refund Policy:

A full refund will be issued on cancellations received in writing at least 10 business days prior to the seminar/course start date. An administration fee of $150.00 is applicable if notification is received between three and nine days prior to start date. Thereafter no refund will be available. Substitutions and transfer of registrations is permissible when received in writing three business days before the seminar/course start date. Please note that credits to be used for future offerings are valid for 12 months from the date of initial payment and will expire if not used in that time frame.

Seminar Cancellation/Rescheduling:

In the event of a seminar being cancelled or rescheduled, prior notification will be given to registrants by phone or e-mail, with the option of a full refund of registration fees or transfer of registration to another SCMAO offering.

Registrations must be received no later than 3 days prior to the start date to allow time for processing confirmation.

Attendees will  receive a confirmation email with the specific seminar details, such as room number shortly after registering for the event.
