Module Overview

This Module will focus on process re-engineering to increase value to the organization. Even minor changes in business process can have dramatic impacts on cash flow, service delivery and customer satisfaction. Topics include:
  • How to re-engineer a process
  • The impact of culture, attitude and behaviours
  • The difference between IT and business process
  • What to expect from the individual leading the process reengineering initiative

Module 1 is a prerequisite for the other two modules in the HSCN Certificate program.  It is essential that participants complete the modules in order.

Instructor: Shamsha Kanji, P.Eng

Shamsha Kanji is a consultant who focuses on business transformation & strategy, process re-engineering using Lean, organizational reviews and procurement & supply chain excellence.

 She is adept at managing multiple stakeholders, insightful when conducting process improvements and expertly provides options, recommendations and alternative models that are tangible, innovative and appropriate to the business context.

Mrs. Kanji utilizes Lean when conducting process reviews, directly involves stakeholders in ‘as is’ and ‘to be’, and has a proven track record of completing process reviews within three months.

Seminar Cancellation/Refund Policy:

 A full refund will be issued on cancellations received in writing at least 10 business days prior to the workshop start  date. An administration fee of $150.00 is applicable if notification is received between three and nine days prior to start date. Thereafter no refund will be available. Substitutions and transfer of registrations is permissible when received in writing three business days before the workshop start date.  Credits to be used for future offerings are valid for 12 months from the date of initial payment and will expire if not used in that time frame.  

Seminar Cancellation/Rescheduling:

 In the event of a workshop being cancelled or rescheduled, prior notification will be given to registrants by phone or e-mail, with the option of a full refund of registration fees or transfer of registration to another Supply Chain Canada offering.

Registrations must be received no later than 3 days prior to the start date to allow time for processing confirmation.


Attendees will  receive a confirmation email with the specific workshop details, such as room number shortly after registering for the event.
